Strung Collection

Swiss-born German artist Paul Klee once said, “A line is a dot that went for a walk.” A simple yet profound analogy—pure in its essence and quietly inspiring. There’s something inherently mobilizing about it, like a subtle call to action.  Mye Coates’ debut body of work, Strung, honors the power of “the line” as a symbol of momentum—a reminder to keep moving forward and to bravely step beyond the edges of your comfort zone. Success or failure is irrelevant; what matters is beginning. Like the dot taking its first step, the very act of starting is the call to action. It is a declaration of willingness to change, and from that moment on, trust becomes your compass—the right path will reveal itself as you go.

To express this viewpoint, Mye uses vertical planes (color blocks) composed of thread with rogue endpoints that defy the canvas border, illustrating we all have limitless potential.  Powerful magnets are incorporated in each piece as a reminder we choose what we experience in life through the law of attraction.
